Neuromuscular Implant Level II

This three-day program is an advanced class that offers bone grafting and sinus lifting protocols in addition to other more advanced aspects of treatment planning relative to implant cases. Each class participant is required to bring a live patient to this course and will treatment plan and place an implant using the protocol acquired during this class.

In advance of the course, each dentist must forward impressions, x-rays and photographs of their patient to Dr. Malin for preliminary approval of the patient's case for this class. Attendees will clinically experience a number of surgeries during this course.

The objectives of this course are for the participant to:

  • Evaluate your patient reviewing complete surgical protocol
  • Understand the importance of implementing thorough medical, perio and neuromuscular evaluations
  • Implement appropriate surgical techniques in stent construction, completing sinus grafts, bone grafts, ridge augmentation and preservations
  • Utilize Tomos and CTs with surgical stents in place
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan
  • Understanding bite transfers, as they relate to vertical dimension
  • Discuss fully the implementation of full mouth reconstruction and implants

Additional topics to be addressed:

  • Reviewing the concerns and effects of your patient's medical history
  • Performing the exam - what to look for
  • Advance case presentation covering the neuromuscular aspects of placing implants
