Dr. Blankenship attended The Ohio State University for a B.S. and M.S. in Microbiology as well as a DDS in Dentistry. He serves on two Boards of Universities: The University of North Florida Deans Council for the College of Arts and Sciences, and Fortis College Board of Directors. He practices in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL just outside of Jacksonville and directly adjacent to The Players Championship Sawgrass. He has passed the written exam for a Diplomate in Dental Sleep. Dr. Blankenship has lectured at the Mayo Clinic and several education facilities across the country. Professionally he lectures on Dental Sleep Medicine as well as an Advanced Cerec trainer. LVI has been a large part of his dental career and he holds a Fellowship with The International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics (FIAPA) and has applied for the Mastership. He also holds Fellowships in Implant Dentistry (ICOIF), Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and Laser Dentistry (WLID). On the personal side, he is prior active duty and currently a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy reserves and is active in the military community. He also holds his private pilot’s license and enjoys golfing.
