Joseph Dewees, Director of Clinical Affairs and Course Curriculum

Joseph Dewees is the Director of Clinical Affairs and Course Curriculum at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He studied Biology at the College of Southern Nevada and knew he wanted to go into Dentistry as a profession early on in his life. His thirst for knowledge and continuing his education led him to the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in 2006, where his passion for treating patients with chronic pain and helping treat patients with TMD and OSA began. He then continued to work side by side with some of the top doctors in Physiologic Based Dentistry and continued learning and attending as much continuing education as possible. In 2016 he was a featured speaker at the International Association for Physiologic Aesthetics where he spoke on airway obstruction and facial development as well as became certified as an in-office trainer for the Trios Digital Scanner from 3Shape. Then in 2017 he became a guest speaker in the OMD course as well as Core I and Core V at the Las Vegas Institute, speaking on a wide range of topics. His enthusiasm for teaching quickly became evident and he started as a full-time faculty member at LVI in 2020, and then became a member of the Board of Directors for the IAPA in 2022.
