The Objectives of this course are for the participant to be able to:

  • Identify patients with Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders
  • Designate area of the office for Myofunctional Therapy
  • Discuss Consultation flow
  • Complete Evaluation and Intake forms
  • Discuss Treatment planning and recommendations
  • Perform functional assessments
  • Discuss appointment flow and therapy sessions throughout different phases of treatment
  • Implement OMT into TMD/Sleep and Ortho treatment

Aida Bosnjak, RDH, OMT, BBPI

Aida Bosnjak graduated Nursing School in 1989, Dental Hygiene School in 2001 and studied extensively with LVI, IAOM, AOMT, TBI in the field of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders and Therapy since 2006. Aida is also certified in Buteyko Breathing Techinques and Dental Sleep Medicine for RDH. Aida’s passion to help patients be pain free and as healthy as possible drives her to explore the newest technologies and techniques while also learning about cutting edge research and recommendations in the field of dentistry and airway health. For the past 22 years Aida has been part of Lake Forest Smiles, an LVI trained, physiologic based dental office where she established a Myofunctional Department in 2015 and has successfully treated many patients. In addition, Aida is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, American Academy of Physiologic Medicine and Dentistry, and American Laser Study Club. She is also The Breathe Institute Ambassador. In her spare time Aida loves taking long walks and enjoys nature. Cooking, traveling and exploring different cultures with her family is another passion of hers!
